Student Fine Art Exhibit
The Associate of Fine Arts is a transfer program that provides you with an opportunity to complete the first two years of study leading to a bachelor’s degree in visual arts at colleges, universities and art schools. Students enrolled in the Fine Arts program at Ivy Tech Community College of Indiana are continually exposed to artists, arts organizations, exhibitions and volunteer opportunities. Professional practices are stressed including portfolio creation, showing work in traditional and alternative venues, job and employment opportunities for artists, and best professional practices. Students have transferred and been accepted at some of the best schools in the country, including (but not limited to):
Herron School of Art
The University of Indianapolis Indiana University
The School of the Art Institute of Chicago
Savannah College of Art and Design
Classes are taught by practicing professional artists with years of experience in their fields. Faculty help students discover their own artistic voice and strengths, building confidence and both a visual and verbal vocabulary. Because class sizes are small, there is a strong sense of rapport, community and support within the program. For more information on the program please contact our office or visit the Ivy Tech website. Not all images are the best resolution, they are photographs of the original art work.
